1. The short version

RangeTube has no backend, no accounts, and no database. We do not collect or store any personal information about you. The privacy considerations on this site come almost entirely from the embedded YouTube player, which connects your browser directly to Google.

2. What RangeTube itself collects

Nothing personal. The site is a static page served to your browser. We run no server that receives your data, set no first-party tracking cookies, and keep no logs of your activity. Any settings the tool needs are kept locally in your own browser.

3. The embedded YouTube player

To play a video, RangeTube embeds YouTube's official player. We load it in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and only after you click to play — but you should understand what that involves:

• When the player loads or plays, your browser connects directly to Google/YouTube. Google can receive your IP address, device and browser information, and details about the video and the page, and may set cookies or other storage. This data may be processed in the United States.
• Privacy-enhanced mode reduces personalization and defers cookies until playback, but it does not eliminate data collection: a local identifier may still be written and your IP address is still sent to Google when the player loads.
• This processing is governed by Google's privacy policy, not ours.

RangeTube uses YouTube API Services. By using the player you are also subject to theYouTube Terms of Service and theGoogle Privacy Policy.

4. Analytics

RangeTube currently uses no analytics and no advertising or tracking scripts of its own. If we add privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics in the future, we will update this policy first.

5. Your rights and who is responsible (GDPR/UK)

The operator of RangeTube is an individual based in Uruguay; contact:contact@salvarecuero.dev. Because the YouTube embed transmits data to Google, the following applies to visitors in the EU/UK:

• Purpose & basis: the only third-party data flow is what is needed to play a video you choose to load. The click to play is the action that initiates it.
• Recipients & transfers: Google/YouTube (YouTube LLC / Google Ireland Ltd), with possible transfer to the United States.
• Retention: RangeTube retains nothing; Google's retention is set by Google.
• Your rights: you may exercise access, rectification, erasure, and related rights against Google directly. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be reflected here.
